The project will offer 70 supported gardening sessions to adults with learning disabilities or mental health issues including Alzheimer’s. Beneficiaries will be able to enjoy healthy outdoor activities in a community garden including a sensory area to experience a range of pleasant smells, sounds, textures and relaxation, growing vegetables, making bird boxes, willow weaving, and watching wildlife. Activities are tailored to match a person’s skill level giving them a sense of ownership and independence.
