The project will regenerate a much loved traditional pier as a focal point for local people and the seaside community. They aim to create a community space on the Pier allowing community activities to take place for all ages, including the building of a stage for groups to use for performances such as music and dance, with a retractable canopy to cover the seating area providing shelter for use in all weathers. Local schools and groups have been involved in consultation to ensure it meets local needs.

It will be a real kick start for 2015 covered space on the pier stage covered means lots of fun for Herne Bay, let's hope we get there.

Such a great community Project benefitting everyone in the town of Herne Bay. Residents want to see their Pier working as it was in its heyday and the Peoples Millions will help the Pier Trust do that. Good luck everyone.

This will add another phase to the rejuvenation of Herne Bay Pier giving cover when the weather is not so good.
