Tech-ability (Rock Foundation UK Limited)

Tech-ability will empower people with learning disabilities to be creative and exceed their own expectations, overcoming disability and difficulty through state of the art technology.

They will be able to produce stunning and beautiful things with a top of the range laser cutter and embroidery machine. At the simple touch of a screen their designs, drawings and ideas can be made reality in a way which is simply not possible by any other means.

When you can hold something that you have made, perfect, as you intended it to be, something which your limitations made impossible before, something amazing happens. We call it the, “I Made That?” Effect. It is a powerful phenomenon that helps people realise that despite their disabilities, they still have endless possibilities, and that every limitation can be challenged. This in turn drives and inspires them to develop their skills, become more confident and engage socially with people around them. Tech-ability will allow them to experience this by providing them with the right tools and equipment.

Vote for us and help us to help more people say “I made that!”
